In October 2024, BuyPass.ai, a newly launched e-commerce startup, announced the successful closure of its angel funding round, marking the first major milestone in its mission to digitize offline commerce. BuyPass.ai is led by Muhammad Ammar Hassan, a seasoned e-commerce executive with over a decade of experience at OLX (Prosus) and Daraz (Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group). Drawing from his expertise in scaling C2C and B2C platforms, Hassan aims to solve persistent challenges in traditional commerce and enhance existing e-commerce solutions.
