With support from the U.S. Mission to Pakistan, LMKT in collaboration with the Pakistan-U.S. Alumni Network (PUAN) successfully hosted the ‘Mastering the Business Life Cycle’ Masterclass at National Incubation Center (NIC) Karachi. The five-day immersive program brought together over 40 U.S. government exchange alumni from various parts of Pakistan, offering them a comprehensive platform to explore business fundamentals, operational strategies, and leadership tools required to develop resilient enterprises.

This in-residence masterclass was specifically designed for exchange alumni representing a diverse mix of sectors, including technology, manufacturing, services, and social enterprise. The curriculum featured interactive sessions, expert-led panels, collaborative group work, and curated exposure visits across Karachi’s most prominent innovation spaces. Focus areas throughout the program included brand strategy, financial planning, operational excellence, risk management, and entrepreneurial leadership, equipping participants with a broad understanding of the startup life cycle.

Participants visited several innovation hubs as part of the learning journey, including AshreiTech Academy located at the National Aerospace Science & Technology Park (NASTP) and The Hive co-working space at LuckyOne Mall. Another stop included the Shahjehan S Karim Incubation Center at the Institute of Business Management (IoBM), allowing participants to interact with students, mentors, and startup teams based at these facilities.

The program culminated with a formal networking dinner attended by key representatives from the U.S. Mission to Pakistan and the local business community. Notable attendees included Scott Urbom, Consul General of the United States in Karachi; Michael Chadwick, Public Affairs Officer; Kevin Furey, Economic Unit Chief; Faisal Jamil, Managing Director of LMKR; and Syed Azfar Hussain, Project Director at NIC Karachi. The dinner provided an opportunity for PUAN alumni to engage directly with executives from The American Business Council of Pakistan, as well as senior leadership from companies such as UPS and Priceoye. This gathering created a space for meaningful exchanges and potential cross-sector collaboration, reinforcing the value of international connections in scaling local innovation.

LMKT reaffirmed its commitment to empowering Pakistan’s entrepreneurs by fostering partnerships that blend global expertise with local potential. Through initiatives like this masterclass, the organization continues to support ecosystem development with high-impact programming that encourages long-term growth and knowledge sharing. The collaboration with PUAN and the U.S. Mission stands as a testament to the importance of public-private efforts in building a thriving, inclusive entrepreneurial community in Pakistan.
