Paklaunch (PL), in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), is set to host a high-profile panel discussion in Lahore on August 12, 2025, bringing together founders, investors, and industry leaders to explore how generative AI (GenAI) is reshaping the startup landscape across Pakistan and other emerging markets.

The event, titled AI Advantage: Unleashing Startup Growth in Emerging Markets, will be held at Daftarkhwan and is expected to draw participants from across the local and regional innovation ecosystem. Designed as a power-packed session, it will spotlight real-world use cases of AI across key sectors including retail, fintech, and logistics.

Panelists will share how Pakistani startups are leveraging AI to achieve measurable growth, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen competitiveness. With a focus on practical adoption rather than theoretical possibilities, the discussion aims to equip attendees with actionable insights for building AI-first ventures capable of competing on a global scale.

The lineup features prominent names from Pakistan’s startup ecosystem and beyond, including Ghazanfar Iqbal, Peter Murray, Harsh Shukla, John K., Anirudh Marc Jaikumar, Daniel Ding, Assam Memon, Pandurang Nayak, Zeeshan Qureshi, Shahzad Khan, and Talha Naveed Ghauri. Together, they bring diverse expertise across sectors where AI adoption is accelerating rapidly.

The panel will cover a range of transformative applications, such as intelligent customer engagement, fraud detection, supply chain optimization, and hyper-personalized customer experiences. Attendees will hear directly from founders and experts who are putting these technologies into practice, providing a roadmap for how AI can act as a force multiplier in resource-constrained markets.

Beyond the local context, the session will also highlight innovative AI use cases from other emerging economies, drawing lessons and parallels for Pakistan. This comparative approach underscores how frontier markets can adapt cutting-edge technologies to leapfrog traditional barriers to growth and scale.

According to the organizers, the event is designed for a broad audience, from startup founders and technologists to investors and ecosystem enablers. By showcasing how AI can fuel rapid scaling, the discussion is expected to offer both inspiration and concrete strategies for the next wave of regional unicorns.

Aly Fahd, who is actively collaborating with Paklaunch and AWS on the event, emphasized the importance of equipping Pakistani entrepreneurs with a forward-looking AI mindset. “This is about more than technology,” he noted. “It’s about reimagining the future of innovation in Pakistan and across frontier markets, powered by AI.”
