P@SHA Signs MoU with CITADEL to Launch Davos Startup Challenge 2026 for Pakistani Founders

P@SHA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CITADEL to collaborate on the upcoming Davos Startup Challenge 2026. The agreement, announced on September 24, underscores a shared vision to strengthen Pakistan’s innovation ecosystem and provide startups with the opportunity to gain global recognition at the World Economic Forum Annual Summit in Davos, Switzerland.

The collaboration aims to position Pakistan’s most promising startups on a global stage by showcasing their innovations to international investors, industry leaders, and policy influencers. Through the Davos Startup Challenge, selected ventures will not only present their solutions but also engage with networks that can accelerate their growth, expand their market access, and connect them with global capital.

By focusing on cross-border exposure, the partnership is expected to enhance the visibility of Pakistan’s technology and entrepreneurial talent. Startups representing the country at Davos will benefit from strategic networking opportunities, mentorship, and potential investment pathways that extend beyond regional boundaries. For Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, this represents an important step toward integrating into the global innovation economy.

The MoU signing was attended by senior leadership from both organizations. Representing P@SHA were Chairman Sajjad Syed, Senior Vice Chairman Muhammad Umair Nizam, Vice Chairman Raheel Iqbal, Treasurer Muhammad Haris Naseer, along with CEC members Nadia Iqbal and Usman Akbar. From CITADEL and its Pathfinder School of Entrepreneurship (SoE), the ceremony was attended by Ikram Sehgal, Chairman of Pathfinder Group; Muhammad Salman Ali, CEO of VRG and Pathfinder Group; AVM Asad Ikram, President of CITADEL / Pathfinder SoE; Imran Jattala, Vice President of CITADEL / Pathfinder SoE; and Dr. Sumayya Amra, PhD, Consultant at CITADEL / Pathfinder SoE.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives from P@SHA emphasized that global visibility is vital for the continued success of Pakistan’s startups. They noted that participation in international platforms like Davos can unlock opportunities for partnerships, investments, and cross-market growth. CITADEL leaders echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of supporting Pakistan’s entrepreneurial ecosystem with structured programs that bridge local innovation with global audiences.

The partnership also highlights the growing role of collaborations between industry associations, corporates, and innovation-focused organizations in building pathways for Pakistani startups to scale internationally. By leveraging CITADEL’s global networks and P@SHA’s longstanding role as a representative body for Pakistan’s IT and IT-enabled services sector, the initiative promises to create meaningful opportunities for startups ready to compete on the world stage.

The Davos Startup Challenge 2026 will not only celebrate entrepreneurial achievements but also serve as a platform to amplify Pakistan’s contribution to global technology and innovation. With a focus on connecting startups to investors and decision-makers at one of the world’s most influential gatherings, the initiative is expected to generate both visibility and tangible growth prospects for the participating founders.

For Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, the MoU between P@SHA and CITADEL represents more than just a symbolic step. It is a concrete effort to ensure that local innovators are provided with the tools, exposure, and support to compete internationally. As preparations for the Davos Startup Challenge 2026 move forward, the partnership sets the stage for Pakistani startups to showcase their potential on one of the most prestigious platforms in the world.
