Aleena Nadeem of EduFi to Speak at Saudi Startup Expo 2025 in Riyadh

Aleena Nadeem, Founder and CEO of EduFi, has been announced as a featured speaker at the upcoming Saudi Startup Expo 2025, one of the Middle East’s premier gatherings for entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators. The event will take place on November 12–13, 2025, at Crowne Plaza Riyadh – King Salman Neighbourhood, and is presented by Waseera FinTech and organized by Najd Desert Pearl Marketing Solutions in collaboration with The Future Event.

Aleena will speak on the theme “Empowering Education and Financial Innovation,” highlighting how technology and finance can merge to make higher education more accessible. Her company, EduFi, is a Pakistan-based fintech startup dedicated to providing student financing solutions tailored to middle-income families seeking affordable pathways to quality education.

Founded in 2021, EduFi quickly emerged as one of the region’s most promising edtech-fintech hybrids, successfully raising over $6.1 million USD in funding to expand its platform and impact. By leveraging financial intelligence and data-driven lending models, EduFi aims to bridge the education affordability gap across emerging markets.

Aleena’s journey reflects both entrepreneurial drive and a deep commitment to social impact. A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), she began her career at Goldman Sachs London, where she worked in investment strategy and finance. She later became the youngest and first female Principal Partner at Ventura Capital London, helping raise capital for global fintechs such as PayTM, Railsbank, and Upgrade.

Beyond her corporate and startup leadership, Aleena also serves as a Director at her family office in Riyadh and is an active member of the PEN network, which provides education to more than 100,000 children annually. In addition to her entrepreneurial work, she recently gained widespread recognition after joining Shark Tank Pakistan as its youngest investor, symbolizing the next generation of women leaders driving innovation across South Asia and the Gulf.

Her participation at the Saudi Startup Expo 2025 underscores the growing cross-border collaboration between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia in technology, investment, and entrepreneurship. The event aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasizes diversification through innovation, youth empowerment, and startup ecosystem development.

At the Expo, Aleena will join a lineup of global speakers, investors, and founders exploring trends in fintech, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and venture capital. Her session is expected to focus on how fintech can unlock new opportunities for the education sector, enabling inclusive financial access and long-term socio-economic mobility.

The Saudi Startup Expo continues to serve as a critical platform for founders and investors from across MENA and South Asia to connect and collaborate. With participation from hundreds of startups, the two-day event promises networking opportunities, mentorship sessions, and exposure to global investors seeking scalable ventures in the region.

EduFi’s inclusion at such a high-profile forum highlights Pakistan’s growing presence in the global startup ecosystem. Aleena’s story, from MIT to fintech leadership and now representing Pakistan on an international stage, continues to inspire young entrepreneurs, particularly women, who are breaking barriers in tech and finance.
