A new President was elected to lead OPEN Lahore, part of the Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs, at the chapter’s Charter Members meeting, held over brunch at the incoming president’s home in front of a room of Lahore’s entrepreneurial community. The election reflects the ongoing leadership rotation within OPEN Lahore, one of the chapters forming part of a global network connecting entrepreneurs, investors, and professionals of Pakistani origin worldwide.
Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs North America, known as OPEN Global, was founded in Boston in 1998 by a group of Pakistani entrepreneurs based in the United States. Nearly three decades later, it has grown into a global network spanning more than 16 chapters across the US, UK, and Pakistan, giving members of the Pakistani diaspora and business community a structured platform to connect across geographies. OPEN Lahore occupies a particularly strategic position within this broader network, rooted in a city that is fast becoming a hub for technology, knowledge, and business culture within Pakistan.
The newly elected leadership expressed appreciation for outgoing President Faisal Jeddy’s leadership, noting that OPEN Lahore’s profile grew meaningfully under his tenure. Jeddy has since taken on a national mandate as CEO of the Pakistan Software Export Board, extending his focus from the chapter’s regional entrepreneurial community to driving Pakistan’s broader IT exports agenda at a national level. The new leadership team includes Faeza Asad Khan as Vice President, Shuja Ul Hasan continuing in his role as General Secretary, and Dr Faisal Kamiran as Treasurer, giving the chapter a mix of continuing and newly elected leadership figures as it moves into its next chapter of activity.
With this leadership team now in place, OPEN Lahore’s incoming President expressed a commitment to putting the chapter firmly on the world map, driving forward entrepreneurship, cross-border collaboration, and Pakistan’s growing tech and business narrative. The leadership transition reflects the kind of organisational renewal common within long-running entrepreneurial networks like OPEN, where periodic leadership changes help sustain momentum and bring fresh direction to chapters as they work to expand their profile and impact within both their local business communities and the broader global network they belong to.
