NIC Lahore Hosts Commonwealth Startup Fellowship Information Session

Published on

Ready to take a startup to the global stage, NIC Lahore is hosting an information session on the Commonwealth Startup Fellowship, giving founders a chance to learn how this six-month international fellowship can help accelerate growth, expand networks, and unlock new opportunities across the Commonwealth. The fellowship itself is designed to ignite and elevate high potential startups from low and middle income countries across the Commonwealth, positioning it as an international growth pathway specifically tailored for founders operating outside wealthier, more established startup markets.

The session is organised in partnership with Imperial Enterprise Lab, Commonwealth Scholarships, and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, reflecting a fellowship structure that draws on both academic and governmental institutional backing from the United Kingdom. This combination of partners suggests the fellowship offers more than informal mentorship, likely incorporating structured curriculum elements tied to Imperial’s enterprise expertise alongside the kind of international network access that comes with Commonwealth-affiliated scholarship and development programmes.

Scheduled for July 30, 2026, at NIC Lahore, the session begins at 11 in the morning, with networking and coffee following at 11:45, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with each other and potentially with session organisers after the formal presentation concludes. Whether founders are building a high-impact startup or simply exploring global opportunities, the session is designed to cover everything attendees need to know about the fellowship, including its structure, eligibility requirements, and application process.

Interested founders can register for the session through https://forms.gle/V6iMpuBWc8HcW9wb6 ahead of the July 30 date. The event is supported by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, the Pakistan Software Export Board, Ignite National Technology Fund, NETSOL Technologies, HBL, Plug and Play, Daftarkhwan, Beaconhouse National University, and the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, continuing the broad institutional backing that has characterised NIC Lahore’s founder-facing programming, with this session adding an international fellowship dimension to the incubator’s usual mix of domestic mentorship and industry access opportunities.
