NIC Islamabad Hires Junior Program Associate for Incubation Program

Published on

Start your career in Pakistan’s startup ecosystem, with NIC Islamabad now hiring a Junior Program Associate for its Incubation Program. This is a hands-on opportunity for a fresh graduate or early-career professional to learn how startup incubation programs work from the inside, giving someone at the very start of their career direct exposure to a functioning incubation environment rather than a purely theoretical understanding of how such programs operate.

The role involves working closely with the Program Manager while gaining exposure to founders, mentors, industry leaders, sessions, and the day-to-day coordination that keeps an incubation program moving. Rather than requiring years of experience or an extensive list of prior achievements, NIC Islamabad is specifically looking for someone eager to learn, who communicates well, stays organised, takes responsibility, and remains open to feedback, positioning the role as accessible to genuinely early-career candidates rather than those who already have established incubation or programme management experience.

In this position, responsibilities will include supporting founder communication and follow-ups, assisting with mentors, trainers, and program sessions, helping coordinate incubation activities and event logistics, and maintaining program updates while tracking startup progress. This is a junior-level role structured around hands-on training, with the expectation that the successful candidate will gradually take on more responsibility as they grow within the position, giving them a genuine pathway for professional development within NIC Islamabad’s broader incubation team.

The position is based on-site at NIC Islamabad on a full-time basis, with fresh graduates welcome to apply and candidates expected to have between zero and two years of experience. Interested applicants can apply by emailing jobs@changemechanics.pk with the subject line Program Associate followed by their name. As part of the application, candidates are asked to write 100 to 150 words explaining why they want to join NIC Islamabad as a Program Associate and what excites them about working with startups, giving applicants a direct opportunity to demonstrate their motivation and communication skills as part of the initial screening process.
