The Women TechEU Eligibility Call is now open, marking the first step for women-led deep tech startups looking to tap into EU funding, mentoring, and growth support. If a startup is women-led and working in deep tech, ready to take its innovation further, this represents an opportunity to begin the Women TechEU journey, with 160 winners set to receive a 75,000 euro equity-free grant alongside a six-month business development programme.
The Eligibility Strand serves as the first step in the application process, confirming that a startup meets the programme’s eligibility requirements before moving on to the Full Proposal stage. This two-stage structure allows applicants to first establish their basic eligibility before investing significant time into a more detailed proposal, a sensible sequencing that spares founders from putting together an extensive application only to discover later that their startup didn’t meet foundational criteria.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with weekly cut-offs every Tuesday at 17:00 CEST or CET Brussels time, giving applicants a steady, recurring opportunity to submit rather than waiting for a single fixed deadline. The next Info Day takes place on August 6, giving prospective applicants a chance to learn more about the programme directly before submitting, while the final eligibility cut-off is set for July 13, 2027, at 17:00 CEST, giving the call a fairly extended window overall despite the weekly rolling review structure.
Applicants are encouraged not to wait until the final deadline, with early submission described as the faster route to accessing funding, mentoring, and business growth support. The initiative is funded by the European Union and supported by AcrossLimits, the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency, and the European Innovation Council, positioning Women TechEU as a substantial, institutionally backed pathway for women-led deep tech founders seeking non-dilutive funding and structured business development support at a European level.
