NIC Hyderabad will host a panel discussion titled Renewable Energy and Climate Innovation, Opportunities for Pakistan’s Next Generation, bringing together experts, innovators, entrepreneurs and aspiring changemakers to discuss the country’s evolving energy landscape. The session is being organised in collaboration with the Civil Society Support Programme under its Just Energy Transition Café initiative, and is scheduled to take place on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 3 PM to 5 PM at NIC Hyderabad.

The event falls under a broader theme titled Powering Sustainable Future in Sindh, Promoting Just Energy Transition Initiative, positioning the panel discussion as part of a wider effort to build dialogue around the province’s transition toward renewable energy sources. The panel is expected to explore emerging opportunities in renewable energy, climate innovation, green entrepreneurship and the broader role innovation can play in building a more resilient future for communities across Sindh and the country more broadly.

Organisers have described the session as open to a wide range of participants, including students, entrepreneurs, professionals and anyone with an interest in sustainability, framing it as an opportunity to learn about the sector, connect with others working in the space, and take part in conversations shaping the direction of Pakistan’s energy transition. The format includes expert talks and panel discussion, alongside sessions focused on green entrepreneurship and incubation as well as networking and career opportunities for attendees.

The event is being funded through support from Ignite National Technology Fund and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, with additional collaboration from PTCL, LMKT and Tech Destination Pakistan, reflecting the mix of public sector and private sector partners typically involved in NIC’s programming across its network of incubation centres. NIC Hyderabad has continued to host sector focused sessions of this kind as part of its broader mandate to support entrepreneurship and innovation in the region, extending beyond its core startup incubation activities to include topic specific panels aimed at building awareness and connecting stakeholders across different fields.
