SwiftScan Pay, a startup incubated at NIC Lahore, is hiring an AI-Assisted Full Stack Software Engineering Intern to join its team and gain hands on experience building a real world SaaS product. The internship gives students and recent graduates a chance to work directly within a startup environment, contributing to an active product rather than working through simulated or academic exercises alone.
Interns taking on the role will build and improve real world SaaS features, debug, test and fix product issues, and work directly with AI tools including Claude and ChatGPT as part of their development workflow. The role also involves managing GitHub issues and workflows, giving interns exposure to structured software development practices used in professional engineering teams. Interns will collaborate directly with the founder, offering a level of direct access to leadership decision making that is often harder to come by in larger, more layered organisations.
SwiftScan Pay is looking for a computer science or software engineering student or graduate with basic knowledge of PHP and Laravel, along with HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Familiarity with Git and GitHub, along with basic SQL, is also expected, reflecting the practical, code focused nature of the role. Beyond technical skills, the company is looking for candidates with a genuine passion for startups and problem solving, suggesting an interest in candidates motivated by the broader startup environment rather than the internship alone.
The position is based at NIC Lahore in a hybrid or on-site arrangement and runs for three months. The internship itself is unpaid, though SwiftScan Pay has noted the potential for it to lead to a permanent, paid full time role for interns who perform well during the programme, giving candidates a possible pathway into longer term employment with the company.
The hiring announcement was shared alongside NIC Lahore’s broader network of institutional partners, including the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom, Pakistan Software Export Board, Ignite National Technology Fund, NETSOL Technologies and HBL.
