NIC Karachi To Host She Builds Pakistan Panel celebrating women entrepreneurs

Published on

NIC Karachi will host She Builds Pakistan, a session celebrating women entrepreneurs and their role in shaping the country’s next era of economic independence. The event brings together three leaders from the Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Karachi, including Sahibzadi Mahin Khan, Founder President and Patron-in-Chief of WCCIK, Shabista Bakhtiar, President of WCCIK, and Hiba Rizvi, Vice President of WCCIK, positioning the session around the organisation’s leadership rather than a single individual speaker.

The session is framed around highlighting the importance of women led businesses, leadership and entrepreneurship in building a stronger and more inclusive economy, connecting the discussion directly to Pakistan’s broader economic development goals rather than treating women’s entrepreneurship as a standalone or peripheral topic. Bringing together WCCIK’s founding and current leadership gives the session a combination of institutional history and present day perspective on the organisation’s work supporting women in business.

WCCIK has continued to serve as one of the more established platforms specifically representing women business owners and entrepreneurs in Karachi, and the participation of its Founder President alongside its current President and Vice President suggests the session is intended to trace both the organisation’s origins and its ongoing role in the current business landscape. This kind of layered representation can offer attendees insight into how support structures for women entrepreneurs in Pakistan have evolved over time.

The session is scheduled for Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 3 PM at NIC Karachi, forming part of the incubation centre’s broader programming aimed at supporting different segments of the startup and business community. NIC Karachi has continued to host sessions specifically centred on women’s entrepreneurship, reflecting an ongoing effort to address the gender gap that persists within Pakistan’s broader startup and business ownership landscape.

The event is supported by NIC Karachi’s established network of partners, including Tech Destination Pakistan, the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ignite National Technology Fund, LMKT, LuckyOne Mall and Orbit Ventures, alongside additional collaborators including Women in Business and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
