Pathfinder CITADEL Names Mentor For Market Opportunity Session

Published on

Pathfinder CITADEL has announced Muhammad Iqbal, General Manager and Group Head of Corporate Finance and Risk Management at the Ministry of Finance, Government of Punjab, as the Mentor of the Week for Session 3 of Cohort 2. The session focuses on market opportunity, business model and traction, addressing three interconnected fundamentals that organisers describe as essential to building a sustainable venture.

The session is built around the idea that every successful venture begins with identifying the right market opportunity, developing a viable business model and building the traction needed for sustainable growth. Organisers describe these fundamentals as enabling startups to validate their ideas, attract investment and scale with confidence, positioning them as sequential building blocks rather than separate, unrelated concerns founders can address independently.

Iqbal brings extensive experience in corporate finance, investment strategy, public sector advisory and risk management to the session, a background that combines direct financial expertise with exposure to how public institutions evaluate investment and risk. This combination gives the session a perspective grounded in formal financial analysis, an area that can be particularly valuable for founders working to translate their business models into terms that resonate with institutional and private investors.

The session is expected to cover practical approaches to evaluating market potential, refining business models and achieving the traction required to build investment ready and scalable ventures. This practical framing suggests the session will move beyond conceptual discussion of market opportunity and traction toward concrete methods founders can apply directly to their own ventures as they prepare for further growth or fundraising.

Pathfinder CITADEL has continued to bring in mentors from a range of professional backgrounds for its weekly sessions, and Iqbal’s public sector finance experience adds a distinct perspective to the programme’s roster, following earlier sessions focused on go to market strategy and other areas of venture building. The mentorship programme continues to position itself as a resource intended to equip founders with the knowledge and strategic perspective needed to transform early stage ideas into higher impact businesses.
