CEGA Lahore is hosting a masterclass titled Bringing Digital Worlds to Life, scheduled for the third of September, twenty twenty six, running from ten in the morning until one in the afternoon. The session will be led by Zaheer Mukhtar, Lead 3D Environment and VFX Artist, covering a range of topics spanning film VFX, game animation, virtual production, and MetaHumans.
Participants will learn how to create VFX for films and games, along with realistic motion capture and facial performance capture techniques used in modern animation production. The curriculum also covers how virtual production and virtual characters are created with significantly reduced effort compared to traditional production methods, reflecting advances in the underlying technology that have made previously labour intensive visual effects processes considerably more efficient.
The session will also address the future of digital characters and artificial intelligence, specifically focusing on MetaHumans within Unreal Engine, giving participants exposure to some of the most current tools and techniques being used in visual storytelling and character creation. This forward looking component positions the masterclass as relevant not just for understanding current industry practices but also for anticipating where the field is heading.
Mukhtar’s role as Lead 3D Environment and VFX Artist brings direct industry experience to the session, giving participants insight from someone actively working within the visual effects and animation production pipeline rather than purely academic or theoretical instruction. This practical, industry grounded approach reflects CEGA’s broader positioning as a hub for gaming, animation, and creative technology talent development within Pakistan.
The event is organised in partnership with Lahore Frames, described as the animation meetup, alongside support from HUM Network, Techsol Space, LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship, Sablo Studio, SectionSoft, and AGON.
