NSTP Extends DEFTECH Incubation Program Application Deadline To September 10

Published on

National Science and Technology Park has extended the application deadline for its DEFTECH Incubation Program to 10 September 2026, giving startups and individuals working on defence and dual use technology ideas additional time to apply. The programme falls under NSTP’s broader sectoral incubation structure at NUST, which has historically organized support across categories including AgriTech, AutoTech, EdTech, EnergyTech, FinTech, HealthTech, SmartTech, and DefTech.

DefTech at NSTP focuses on areas including aerospace, drones, radar systems, cyber warfare, military wearables, and specialized imaging and surveillance equipment, drawing on NUST’s existing research base and infrastructure. The programme has previously supported the development of technologies such as ground surveillance radar and unmanned aerial vehicle systems, positioning it as a specialized track distinct from the broader consumer or enterprise focused incubation programmes more common across Pakistan’s startup ecosystem.

The extended deadline gives applicants an additional window to prepare submissions for a category of startup that typically requires longer development cycles and more specialized technical review than commercial technology ventures. Interested applicants can apply through https://lnkd.in/dzrwm_mf.

The programme is supported by The AKD Group, UK, reflecting continued private sector interest in Pakistan’s defence and dual use technology development. DEFTECH forms part of NSTP’s wider incubation portfolio at NUST, which has produced more than 150 graduated startups and drawn significant investor interest across its various sector specific tracks since its establishment.
