Fatima Jinnah Women University Business Incubation Center has opened applications for Cohort 7 of its incubation program, inviting students, alumni, and faculty members with either a groundbreaking business idea or an existing startup to apply. The call continues FJWU-BIC’s established track record of supporting women led ventures, following earlier incubatees who have gone on to secure provincial seed funding and international recognition, giving this new cohort a credible foundation to build on rather than launching as an untested program.
Selection for Cohort 7 will run through the Taskheer Business Idea Pitching Competition, scheduled for October 6, 2026, which will narrow applicants down to the top 15 startups admitted into the program. Structuring admission around a competitive pitching format rather than a purely written application process gives evaluators a chance to assess not just the substance of an idea but how clearly and convincingly a founder can communicate it, a skill that matters considerably once those same founders are expected to pitch to investors and industry partners later in their entrepreneurial journey.
Startups selected into the cohort will receive mentorship from industry professionals, access to valuable networks and resources, and business development support intended to help them refine, build, and launch their ventures. The programme also offers direct connections with investors and potential partners, extending support beyond internal mentorship into the kind of external relationships that determine whether an incubated idea can eventually secure funding or strategic partnerships once it graduates from the programme.
Eligible applicants include FJWU students, alumni, and faculty members with a product or service to offer, a scope that mirrors the faculty-inclusive approach other incubation centers, such as NIC Faisalabad, have recently taken in expanding entrepreneurship support beyond the student population alone.
