NIC Peshawar Hosts Information Session On Tameer Awards Program

Published on

National Incubation Center Peshawar hosted an information session on the 13th Tameer Awards 2026, giving entrepreneurs and startups a structured overview of the application process, award categories, and opportunities available through the program. The session continues a pattern seen this month across multiple cities, with BIC University of Peshawar and IBA CEDIR in Karachi both running similar briefings, reflecting a coordinated national push to widen the pool of applicants for this year’s edition of the competition rather than relying on a single centralized outreach effort.

The session walked attendees through cash prizes of up to PKR 1 million per category, a figure substantial enough to meaningfully support an early stage venture’s development, working capital needs, or initial market entry costs. Beyond direct funding, the competition offers mentoring intended to help founders sharpen both their business fundamentals and their broader entrepreneurial judgment, an area where structured guidance often proves as valuable to early stage founders as the prize money itself.

Business support and media exposure round out the package available to Tameer Awards participants, giving winning and finalist startups visibility that extends well past the competition circuit and into broader industry and public recognition. Pitch training also forms part of the offering, sharpening how founders communicate their venture to investors, judges, and other stakeholders they are likely to encounter well beyond the competition’s conclusion, treating pitching itself as a skill worth deliberate investment rather than something founders are expected to have already mastered.

Applications for the 13th Tameer Awards remain open until 30 September 2026, with interested entrepreneurs able to apply through this link. The session adds Peshawar’s NIC to the growing list of institutions hosting dedicated briefings for this year’s competition, reflecting the Tameer Awards’ continued effort to reach entrepreneurs across multiple regional startup ecosystems. The event was supported by institutional partners including Ignite, LMKR, Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, LMKT, and Orbit Startups, along with academic and industry collaborators such as Sybrid, IM Sciences, Rehman Medical Institute, CECOS University, and Frontier Platinum.
