Tameer Awards 2026 Extends Application Deadline To October

Published on

Wafi Energy has extended the application deadline for the 13th Tameer Awards 2026 to October 4, 2026, giving entrepreneurs, startups, and innovators additional time to apply after a month that saw a wave of dedicated information sessions held across the country. The extension follows briefings hosted at IBA CEDIR in Karachi, BIC University of Peshawar, and National Incubation Center Peshawar, each aimed at walking prospective applicants through the competition’s structure, and pushing the deadline back gives entrepreneurs who attended those sessions but had not yet finalized submissions a meaningful additional window to do so.

Announced by Imran Azeem, program manager for training and development at Wafi Energy, the extension was framed around ensuring the competition reaches deserving entrepreneurs, startups, and innovators who might otherwise miss out due to the original timeline. Extending a deadline rather than closing applications on schedule signals that organizers are prioritizing breadth and quality of the applicant pool over strict adherence to an initial date, a decision that often reflects either strong existing interest worth accommodating further or an assessment that outreach has not yet reached every entrepreneur the competition is designed to serve.

The competition continues to offer the same core benefits highlighted throughout this year’s outreach campaign, including cash prizes of up to PKR 1 million, mentoring and business support, media exposure, and pitch training, combining direct financial support with the kind of skill building and visibility that can matter as much to an early stage venture’s trajectory as the prize money itself. Wafi Energy has also asked applicants and supporters to share the opportunity within their own networks, treating word-of-mouth distribution as a deliberate extension of the competition’s formal outreach rather than relying solely on institutional information sessions to reach every eligible entrepreneur.

Interested entrepreneurs can apply through this link ahead of the new October 4 deadline. The extension caps off a month in which the 13th Tameer Awards drew unusually coordinated multi-city promotion, and organizers say they remain focused on receiving innovative ideas and impactful ventures from across Pakistan before the competition moves into its evaluation phase.
