Sindh Enterprise Incubation Center Opens Final Pitching Round For Cohort One Founders

Published on

Sindh Enterprise Incubation Center opened its Final Pitching Round with the first panel of judges evaluating founders from its inaugural cohort, marking what organizers described as the first day, the first panel, and the first genuine test for a group of entrepreneurs who have spent months moving through SEIC’s structured incubation curriculum. As Government of Sindh’s first startup incubation initiative, run under the Science and Information Technology Department, SEIC’s final pitching round carries institutional weight beyond a typical private accelerator demo day, representing a public sector bet on whether structured government-backed incubation can produce genuinely investable companies.

The Day 1 panel included Urooj Zia, co-founder of Startup Syndicate, and Imran Azeem, manager of training and development at Tameer under Wafi Energy Pakistan, bringing direct continuity from the Tameer Awards ecosystem that has run parallel outreach and information sessions across multiple cities this same month. Kanza Sohail, assistant professor at IBA Karachi, and Faisal Jalal, adjunct faculty at the same institution, added academic rigor to the panel, drawing on IBA’s own long-established entrepreneurship curriculum experience through its Center for Entrepreneurial Development, Innovation and Research.

Muhammad Rizwan Ullah, managing director of Combine Packages, brought an industrial manufacturing and packaging perspective distinct from the more startup-native viewpoints elsewhere on the panel, while Faris Khalid, head of business development at Veritas Learning Circle, and Tayyab Alam of Xploronix FZ LLC added business development and international market exposure to the evaluation. Asma Inayat, chief executive officer of The Wise Shepherd, rounded out the panel, giving Day 1 founders exposure to judges spanning academia, industrial manufacturing, training and development, and international business development within a single evaluation session.

The Final Pitching Round is supported by Science and Information Technology Department Government of Sindh, Sapphire Consulting Services, and Hum Network, giving SEIC’s inaugural cohort backing from both provincial government infrastructure and private sector partners as its founders move through what organizers framed as the decisive test following their incubation period. The event continues SEIC’s broader effort to establish itself as a credible public sector incubation institution, following earlier praise from jury members who noted being surprised by the professionalism and polish of the space and its founders, defying expectations some visitors admitted holding about a government-run incubation center before actually walking through its doors.
