Ignite and Huawei Pakistan Launch AI Training Program for Startups at NIC Islamabad

Published on

Ignite National Technology Fund and Huawei Pakistan officially launched the AI Training and Enablement Program for Startups at NIC Islamabad, bringing together a group of promising startups to explore practical opportunities in AI development and deployment. The programme gives Pakistani founders direct access to one of the world’s major technology companies’ AI infrastructure, a resource that is typically out of reach for early stage startups working with limited budgets and smaller technical teams.

The session opened with remarks from Zakir Syed, Manager of Business Planning and Strategy at Ignite, and Renkai, Director of Government Business at Huawei Pakistan, setting the stage for a programme built around hands-on technical exposure rather than theoretical discussion alone. Ahad Khursheed, CEO of Paranine, an Ascend partner, also shared his insights during the session, adding a founder’s perspective from a company that has already worked directly within Huawei’s AI ecosystem.

Startups including VyrrAI, Promptflow, AIgilityX, Febify, BlackIronQuantum AI, Scoutrex and ValourA took part in the programme, representing a cross-section of Pakistan’s AI focused startup community. The session introduced participants to Huawei’s full stack AI solutions and featured practical training on the Ascend development environment, giving startups a chance to build their technical capabilities directly on the platform and explore the CANN ecosystem that underpins Huawei’s broader AI infrastructure offering.

Through initiatives like this, Ignite continues to support Pakistan’s startup ecosystem by connecting innovators with advanced technologies, practical learning opportunities and the tools needed to turn AI ideas into real world solutions. The programme reflects a growing pattern of major global technology companies working directly with Pakistani incubators to give local startups earlier and more direct access to infrastructure that would otherwise take years to build independently.
