CEGA Lahore held its Cohort 3 Evaluation Day on Monday, October 5, running shortlisted gaming and animation startups through four separate judging panels across the full day. Panels 1 and 2 ran from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the morning session, with the first group of shortlisted startups pitching their ideas, showcasing prototypes, and receiving feedback from industry leaders evaluating their work at this stage of the incubation process.
The afternoon brought Panels 3 and 4, running from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, where the second lineup of shortlisted gaming and animation startups took the stage to pitch their own ideas, demonstrate prototypes, and gather insights from a fresh set of industry experts. Splitting the day into four distinct panels allowed CEGA Lahore to evaluate a larger pool of startups across a single evaluation day while still giving each team focused attention from judges rather than compressing every pitch into a single rushed session.
For gaming and animation startups specifically, demonstrating a working prototype carries particular weight, since the category depends heavily on tangible, playable or viewable output rather than concepts alone. Running both morning and afternoon sessions gave CEGA Lahore’s judges a chance to directly assess what each shortlisted team had actually built, rather than relying solely on descriptions of planned features or future development.
The Cohort 3 Evaluation Day was supported by Ideofuzion, Hum Network, Ignite National Technology Fund, Sablo Studio, Techsol Space, the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan, LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship and Section Soft. With both the morning and afternoon panels now complete, CEGA Lahore is expected to share further updates and pitch highlights from across the full evaluation day as Cohort 3 moves toward its next stage of selection.
