NIC Sialkot will host a Storytelling and Pitch Practice Workshop on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the incubation centre, giving its current startup cohort an immersive session built around mastering storytelling to build authentic connections and make every message stick. The workshop is designed to help founders move beyond reciting features and figures toward telling the story of their business in a way that audiences remember, a skill that often decides whether a pitch lands with investors, customers or collaborators or fades from memory soon after the meeting ends.
The session will be led by Umer Hussain, founder of Hightribe, Highglamp and Sweettooth, who brings an extensive background in launching ventures, pitching high-stakes ideas and building recognizable brands. Having started several companies of his own, Hussain is well placed to speak about pitching from the perspective of someone who has had to win over backers and audiences in real situations, rather than simply teaching presentation technique in the abstract. His experience building brands also gives the session a practical angle on how a consistent story can shape the way a company is perceived long after any single pitch.
Participants will receive real-time guidance as they practise, learning to translate complex business models into compelling narratives, refine their core delivery, and pitch with real market impact. The hands-on format matters for early stage founders, many of whom understand their own product thoroughly but struggle to explain it simply to people who are encountering it for the first time. Practising in front of an experienced mentor, and receiving immediate feedback on structure, clarity and delivery, gives each founder a chance to correct weak points before they face an investor or a customer where the stakes are higher.
The workshop follows a recent session at NIC Sialkot on personal branding and fits a wider pattern of programming aimed at preparing the cohort to present itself with confidence as it moves toward demo days, investor meetings and other public showings of its work. NIC Sialkot operates with the backing of the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan and Ignite National Technology Fund, together with CyberVision International and Mobilink Bank, whose support has helped the centre bring in speakers from outside the city for its founders.
