The final judging round for Cohort 6 of National Incubation Center Islamabad is now underway, bringing together an experienced panel of judges from across the startup, business, investment and technology ecosystem. At this stage, the shortlisted startups are presenting their businesses before professionals who combine industry experience, market knowledge and a clear understanding of what it takes to build and scale a venture. The round follows the close of applications on 21 September 2026 and marks the point where the incubator’s next cohort begins to take shape, as founders move from written applications to facing decision makers in person.
The panel includes Zibber Mohiuddin, Barkan Saeed, Khuram Idrees, Ali Hasan Butt, Amer Hashmi, Atifa Asghar, Ammar Majeed, Amna Masood, Dr Yasir Amjad, Zohaib Jawed, Raza Afzal, Imad Memon, Irum Zahra, Haseeb Shaikh, Muhammad Sayaf Arbab, Nausheen Ashraf, Muhammad Ahmed and Nadeem Chaudhry. Their presence adds an important external perspective to the selection process, since the judges come from outside the incubator and assess each startup independently of the programme team. They are speaking directly with founders, asking critical questions about the business, and pressing each team to explain clearly where the startup stands today and where it plans to go next.
For the founders, the pitch and the questions that follow are the most demanding part of the selection process. Teams are expected to defend their market size, revenue plans, product progress and growth strategy under direct questioning, which tests how well they understand their own ventures and how they respond when challenged. Startups that are selected gain access to structured training and workshops on market validation and investor readiness, co-working space at the Islamabad campus, mentorship from industry leaders and serial entrepreneurs, and introductions to local and international investors, along with media and ecosystem exposure that can help early stage companies gain credibility.
National Incubation Center Islamabad operates with the support of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Tech Destination Pakistan and Ignite National Technology Fund, and it remains one of the main federal platforms for early stage startups in the country. The incubator has expressed its gratitude to the judges for giving their time to engage with Cohort 6 applicants and for helping shape the next group of startups. Final selections will determine which teams join the incubator in the coming cohort, and the programme team is expected to share the outcome with applicants in the days ahead.
