Revora Co-Founder Daniyal Baig Shares First Fundraise Insights With National Incubation Center Lahore Startups

Published on

National Incubation Center Lahore is hosting an Investment Insights session today, Friday, 9 October, from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, with Daniyal Baig, Co-Founder of Revora, as the speaker. The session is built around a question that every early stage founder eventually faces, which is how to navigate a first fundraise and prepare a startup for investment. It is open exclusively to startups incubated at National Incubation Center Lahore, and it is designed to give founders a closer look at the investment journey before they begin approaching investors, so that they can learn, gain insight and take a step closer to funding their ventures.

The speaker brings first hand experience of the fundraising process. Revora, formerly known as MyAlice, is an AI operating platform for e-commerce businesses that lets merchants use AI agents to recommend products, recover abandoned carts and take payments inside customer conversations. The company was founded in 2021 by Daniyal Baig and Shuvo Rahman, and earlier this year it raised a $2 million seed round co-led by i2i Ventures and Oraseya Capital, with participation from several regional investors. Headquartered in Saudi Arabia, Revora is live in more than 21 countries, and its revenue has grown tenfold since it shifted its focus to Saudi Arabia and the wider Gulf region in late 2024.

Daniyal Baig is a Pakistani entrepreneur who spent more than 12 years in leadership roles across media and fintech in the Middle East and North Africa, most recently as Chief Operating Officer of Forbes Middle East. He also built and ran an inventory management product for small merchants in the region, which gave him a direct view of the operational problems that Revora now aims to solve. Speaking about the company’s raise, he has said that the metric that matters most is not the funding itself but that merchants using the platform are generating real revenue from it. That focus on customer outcomes before capital is likely to resonate with founders who are weighing when and how to approach their first investors.

For startups in the incubator, the timing of the session is practical. Early stage teams often struggle with questions such as when to raise, how much to ask for, what investors expect to see and how to present a business that is still finding its market, and a conversation with a founder who has recently closed a round offers answers grounded in experience rather than theory. National Incubation Center Lahore operates with the support of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Pakistan Software Export Board and Ignite National Technology Fund, and sessions of this kind form part of its effort to prepare the startups in its cohort for the capital they will need to grow.
