The National Incubation Center Karachi has hosted a Primary Track session titled Introduction to Entrepreneurship: What to Know Before Building a Startup, bringing three founders to speak with its cohort. The panel featured Saad Wahab Siddiqui, Founder of Find My Doctor, Waqar Ahmed, Founder of Securitanium, and Saad Afridi, Founder of Scents N Stories. The center opened its account of the event with a simple premise: building a startup begins with understanding what it takes to turn an idea into a viable business.
Drawing on their own entrepreneurial journeys and real world experience, the founders shared practical insights into the early stages of a startup. They spoke about understanding market needs, addressing the challenges that come up, and making informed decisions before bringing an idea to life. Their companies work in very different fields, from healthcare to cybersecurity to fragrance, so the panel offered the cohort a range of examples of how founders approach their first steps. Hearing from people who have already built businesses helps newer founders see which problems are common and which choices carry the most weight in the early months.
The session encouraged aspiring entrepreneurs to approach startup building with greater clarity, preparation, and a growth-oriented mindset. Preparation matters because early mistakes, such as building for a market that does not exist or committing money before testing demand, are costly for companies with little cash, and a founder who has talked through those risks with experienced peers is better placed to avoid them. The panel format also allowed participants to ask direct questions, which is often the most useful part of a session of this kind.
The National Incubation Center Karachi is funded by Ignite and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, and the session formed part of the Primary Track for its Cohort 16 startups. The announcement did not share specific takeaways or questions from the audience. What it made clear is that the center treats the early stage lessons of working founders as a core part of its curriculum, and the session gave the cohort a grounded view of what building a startup involves before they go further into their own ventures.
