National Incubation Center Islamabad Welcomes Cohort Five Startup Founders As Acceleration Program Officially Begins

Published on

The National Incubation Center Islamabad has begun a new chapter with the start of Cohort 5 of its Acceleration Program. Founders in the cohort came together for their official orientation and contract signing, a milestone that formally marks the beginning of their acceleration journey. The gathering brought the participating teams into the same room for the first time as a cohort, setting the tone for the months ahead and giving each venture a clear starting point within the program.

The session gave founders an opportunity to connect with one another, become acquainted with the program and understand the opportunities and resources available to them. It also introduced them to the journey that lies ahead, helping each team see how the program is structured and what it expects from participants. Those present included Ali Shabbar of DeafTawk, Izzah Zaman of Shadiyana, Muhammad Hassamuddin of GeoAirCon, Muzna Khan of EMRChains and Osama Gillani of Mapalytics, along with Yasir Amjad, who holds a doctorate. The ventures span a range of fields, reflecting the variety of ideas now moving into the acceleration stage of the national incubation network.

With the contracts signed and the program officially underway, the months ahead will concentrate on making business models stronger, refining strategies, building valuable connections and preparing ventures for their next phase of growth. Acceleration programs differ from early incubation because they work with teams that already have something in motion, and the emphasis therefore falls on sharpening what exists rather than starting from scratch. For founders, the combination of structured guidance and a network of new relationships can shorten the distance between a promising product and a business ready to attract customers and investors.

The center marked the occasion with a welcome to the new cohort, expressing hope for new beginnings, ambitious ideas and everything that lies ahead. The program is associated with the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Tech Destination Pakistan and Ignite, the National Technology Fund, which together stand behind the national incubation network. As Cohort 5 settles into its schedule, attention will turn to how the founders use the resources and connections on offer, and how far their ventures progress by the time the program reaches its conclusion.
