The Iqra University Entrepreneurship Society is inviting startups and innovators across Sindh to Ideaverse 2.0, a startup pitching and showcase competition held under Spectrum 2.0 at the Iqra University Main Campus in Karachi. The event takes place on November 10, 11 and 14, 2026, and is presented by Microtech. It is open to all emerging startups, and organizers have encouraged anyone with a startup, an innovative idea or a promising final year project to use the competition as a way to take their work beyond academics.
Participants compete for a total prize pool of up to Rs 100,000. Alongside the pitching rounds, the event includes a Startup Showcase Marquee where ventures can display their work and meet visitors, giving teams a space to present products and ideas to a wider audience and not only to the judges. The competition also offers participants a chance to connect with entrepreneurs and industry professionals, which can lead to advice, introductions and early customers for founders who are just starting out. For student teams in particular, the mix of competition, exhibition and networking provides a rare opportunity to test an idea in front of people who have built businesses of their own.
Registration fees are Rs 2,000 for participants based in Karachi and Rs 1,500 for those outside the city, a special rate designed to make it easier for founders from other parts of Sindh to take part. The reduced fee period, described as an early bird offer, ends today, November 5, and slots are limited. Interested teams can register through the online form before the deadline. The organizers have also asked universities, startup communities and student networks across Sindh to share the opportunity so that it reaches founders beyond Karachi.
The competition is organized by the Iqra University Entrepreneurship Society and is backed by a group of supporters whose logos appear on the event material, including IU CORE, the university’s Centre of Research and Entrepreneurship, Covo, Hamdard Haath, Mindtrek, Biz Today International, Vouch365 and DLeaders. Events of this kind give young founders practice in pitching and a first public stage for their ventures, and they add to the growing number of campus competitions that connect student entrepreneurs with the wider startup community. With three days of activity planned in November, Ideaverse 2.0 is set to bring together a mix of student projects and early stage companies from across the province.
