Accelerate Punjab, an initiative of the Punjab Information Technology Board, has invited the women of Multan to apply for its Multan Cohort 1, a startup programme that offers free incubation, mentorship, legal support and networking. The call carries the message that the startup journey of women in the city can start here, and that their ideas deserve room to grow. Women who want to turn their ambition into something bigger can apply through the QR code on the official poster of Accelerate Punjab, and the programme asks them to apply now.
The programme brings together four forms of support that early stage founders often struggle to find on their own. Free incubation gives selected women a place to build their ideas without paying for space or services, mentorship connects them with people who have experience in building and running businesses, legal support helps them deal with registration, contracts and other legal steps that can slow down a young company, and networking opens doors to the wider startup ecosystem. Together, these are meant to move an idea from a plan on paper to a working venture, and to build a network that can help founders keep moving forward.
The call follows recent outreach sessions in which the Accelerate Punjab team visited the National University of Modern Languages Multan and Emerson University Multan to meet students and aspiring founders. A dedicated cohort for women in Multan adds a focused route for those who may face extra barriers in starting a business, such as limited access to mentors, investors and professional networks in South Punjab. By naming Multan as the first cohort, the initiative also signals that it wants to look for founders outside Lahore, where most of the province’s startup activity is concentrated.
The announcement does not state a closing date for applications or the eligibility criteria, so women who are interested are advised to follow the official channels of Accelerate Punjab for further details before applying.
