ANDE South Asia Announces Asia Climate & Environment Learning Lab Session on Circular Economy

Published on

ANDE South Asia has announced an interactive session as part of its Asia Climate & Environment Learning Lab: Bring Your Own Insights (BYOI) series that will focus on circular economy and climate action in Central and South Asia, convening ecosystem practitioners for practical lessons, honest reflections, and real stories from the field. The online session, scheduled for 24 February 2026, is co-hosted with stakeholders including representatives such as Isfandiyor Abdullo, AP Country Director for Accelerate Prosperity – An AKDN Initiative in Tajikistan, and is tailored to practitioners working at the intersection of sustainable enterprise, impact investing, and environmental innovation. The announcement underscores ANDE’s continued effort to connect entrepreneurs, investors, and support organisations through thematic learning spaces that address critical challenges such as integrating circular economy principles into business models and unlocking scalable climate solutions across emerging markets.

The Asia Climate & Environment Learning Lab session on circular economy invites participants to bring their own insights and experiences, reinforcing a peer-driven approach to knowledge exchange rather than top-down presentations. This structure reflects broader ecosystem needs where practical experience and locally grounded solutions are often more actionable than theoretical frameworks, and where shared learning can accelerate adoption of circular practices that decouple resource use from economic activity. The focus on circular economy aligns with global trends that emphasise regenerative systems and sustainable business models to reduce waste and environmental impact while creating economic opportunities, a theme that is gaining traction across South Asia and beyond.

By situating circular economy within a climate and sustainable enterprise context, the session aims to explore how entrepreneurs, funders, and ecosystem enablers can work together to design out waste, build resilient value chains, and drive measurable climate impact. ANDE’s programming around climate and environmental action supports green entrepreneurs who contribute to mitigation and adaptation efforts, particularly those building solutions that address resource efficiency, carbon reduction, and inclusive value creation, and it reflects a recognition that small and growing businesses play a critical role in advancing environmental goals within developing economies.

The Learning Lab series signals a concerted effort to strengthen cross-regional dialogue that can highlight both challenges and opportunities relevant to circular economy adoption and climate action, from policy environments to investment dynamics and operational implementation. As part of a broader agenda to catalyse ecosystem participation around environmental innovation, the BYOI session represents a platform for practitioners to exchange ideas, build networks, and surface practical insights that can inform local strategies and partnerships across markets.

Participants are expected to gain not only conceptual understanding but also actionable perspectives on integrating circular principles into enterprise growth strategies, tapping into impact-focused capital, and navigating the complexities of scaling sustainable models in diverse contexts. Through initiatives such as the Asia Climate & Environment Learning Lab, ANDE South Asia continues to strengthen ecosystem capacity around themes that bridge entrepreneurial activity with environmental stewardship, and to support collaborative learning that can accelerate systemic progress toward more regenerative economic systems.
