Apply for CITADEL Davos Startup Challenge 2026: Pakistan’s Innovation Goes Global

Pakistan’s innovation ecosystem is gaining international attention as CITADEL Davos Startup Challenge 2026 opens applications for high-potential startups ready to scale globally. The national competition aims to showcase Pakistan’s most promising ventures during the Pakistan Breakfast at Davos, taking place alongside the World Economic Forum (WEF) from January 19–23, 2026. Participating startups will gain a rare opportunity to pitch to global investors, corporate leaders, and media, translating local innovation into international recognition and growth opportunities.

Pathfinder CITADEL, the organizer of the challenge, is a nationwide initiative by Pathfinder Group that focuses on converting talent into jobs and ideas into investment-ready ventures. The initiative addresses Pakistan’s pressing economic challenges, including the need for 2.5 million new jobs annually and 31% graduate unemployment. Pathfinder CITADEL operates through three key verticals: Career JumpStart Institute for outcome-focused skill development, Escape Velocity Accelerator for AI and emerging technologies, and Strategic Innovation Consulting for corporate digital transformation. Together, these programs create a scalable pathway from skill development to startup scaling and enterprise productivity growth.

The CITADEL Davos Startup Challenge 2026 targets startups with working products or MVPs across AI/ML, FinTech, HealthTech, AgriTech, Climate/GreenTech, DeepTech, and Industry 4.0 sectors. Applicants should demonstrate market readiness, measurable traction, defensible business advantages, and the potential for international expansion. The challenge is structured across three stages: the National Call for Startups from September 19 to October 1, 2025; the Shortlisted Startups Pitching on October 11, 2025; and the Final Pitching Round on October 25, 2025. Shortlisted founders will receive mentorship and guidance to refine pitches and prepare for conversations with global investors.

Winning startups will receive extensive support beyond recognition, including stage time at the Pakistan Breakfast in Davos, international media exposure, investor access, and acceleration support through Pathfinder CITADEL. The program emphasizes converting visibility into tangible outcomes such as partnerships, capital infusion, and entry into global markets. Startups with clear value propositions, efficient growth metrics, proprietary data or IP, secure technology, and scalable models are expected to perform competitively.

The Davos Startup Challenge is part of a broader national agenda to create an innovation value chain connecting skills to jobs, startups to scale, and enterprises to measurable productivity gains. While Davos serves as a high-profile milestone, Pathfinder CITADEL aims for long-term impact, building a sustainable ecosystem for Pakistan’s startups to thrive on the global stage.

Founders with scalable, market-ready ventures who are ready to engage global investors and partners are encouraged to apply through www.CITADELpk.com.
