The Business Incubation Center at the University of Peshawar has invited students to take part in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition 2026, a provincial level contest for young innovators with ideas aimed at real world problems. The competition asks students to turn an idea into an opportunity and to present their innovation to a wider audience across the province. The competition carries a prize pool designed to give winning teams meaningful seed support. The first position will receive Rs 1,000,000, the second position Rs 750,000, and the third position Rs 500,000. For student founders who often lack access to early capital, awards of this size can cover prototype development, initial testing and the first steps of registering a business, which makes the competition a useful stepping stone for ideas that are still at an early stage.
Eligibility is limited to students of public sector universities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which keeps the field focused on the province’s own student community. The competition welcomes ideas across a broad set of focus areas, including AI and digital innovation, agri-tech, health, EdTech, renewable energy, climate resilience, FinTech, tourism, e-commerce and creative industries, with room for other areas as well. The range reflects the province’s varied economic strengths, from agriculture and tourism to a growing digital talent base, and gives students from different academic backgrounds a place to enter.
By hosting the competition, the Business Incubation Center at the University of Peshawar is positioning itself as a hub for student entrepreneurship in the region.
