After the success of Lahore Frames, CEGA is bringing Karachi Frames, The Animation Meetup, to the city on October 27, 2026, positioning it as the biggest animation gathering of the year. The event is built to bring together animators, game creators, studio heads and visual storytellers under one roof, giving Karachi’s own creative community a dedicated gathering point similar to what Lahore’s animation and gaming scene has already experienced.
Framing the event as the wait being over for Karachi’s animation and gaming culture to step into the spotlight suggests CEGA sees the city as having built up a critical mass of creative talent that has not yet had a flagship event of its own to match Lahore Frames. Bringing animators, game creators and studio heads together in one place gives smaller studios and independent creators in Karachi a chance to network with industry figures they might not otherwise encounter, while also giving the city’s broader creative scene public visibility it has arguably lacked compared to Lahore.
The event will take place at CEGA Karachi, with registrations expected to open soon, and organizers are encouraging the community to mark their calendars and spread the word ahead of the official opening of sign-ups. Building anticipation ahead of registration suggests CEGA is treating Karachi Frames as a significant addition to its event calendar, following the template of its earlier, evidently successful Lahore edition.
Karachi Frames is supported by Hum Network, Techsol Space, LUMS Centre for Entrepreneurship, Ideofuzion, Sablo Studio and SectionSoft, continuing the same network of collaborators that has backed CEGA’s other recent gaming and animation initiatives, including its Cohort 3 evaluations and the GameJamPlus event coming to Lahore and Karachi later in October.
