Center of Excellence in Gaming and Animation Lahore has officially welcomed Batch 3, marking the occasion with an Orientation Day for its Unity track that brought together a new group of developers and creators taking their first steps into the world of real-time creation and game development. The session set the tone for what the program has ahead as it moves into its third cohort.
The Unity track is focused on equipping participants with the skills needed to build and develop games using one of the most widely used real-time development platforms in the industry. For many attendees, the orientation represented their formal entry into a structured learning environment built around a sector that has seen growing institutional attention in Pakistan over the past few years, backed by Ignite and Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.
The orientation was held in Lahore and drew participants who brought with them a shared enthusiasm for game development and creative technology. The energy of the session, as described by the organizers, reflected the kind of momentum that tends to accompany a genuine new beginning rather than a routine program intake, with new connections forming and a collective sense of what the track is working toward.
For CEGA, which operates as a dedicated center for gaming and animation talent development in Pakistan, Batch 3 represents continued growth in both reach and ambition. The program sits within a broader national effort to build a skilled workforce capable of competing in the global gaming and interactive media industry, a sector where Pakistan has identified real export potential but where structured training infrastructure has historically been limited.
