Five Startup Accelerator and Incubation Programmes in MENA Open for Applications

Published on

Five accelerator and incubation programmes across Qatar, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates are currently open to startup founders, according to a list compiled by The Associate, a firm that helps founders prepare for fundraising. The programmes offer mentorship, business development support, access to investors and connections to local startup ecosystems, and they cover sectors ranging from education technology to life sciences. Deadlines vary, with the earliest falling on October 31, 2026, and the latest in February 2027, so founders interested in any of them will need to plan their applications accordingly.

The first programme on the list is the WISE EdTech Accelerator in Qatar, which is meant for education technology startups developing solutions that change how people teach and learn. Applications for this programme close on October 31, 2026, making it the most urgent opportunity on the list. In Egypt, Start IT, run by TIEC and ITIDA, is aimed at early-stage technology startups that are looking for incubation, mentorship, business support and access to the country’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. Applications for Start IT are accepted throughout the year, although founders are advised to check the current review cycle before applying. Also in Egypt, the Founder Institute is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage founders who want to validate their business ideas, build scalable startups and prepare for investment. It has two deadlines, with an early deadline on November 10, 2026, and a final deadline on December 8, 2026.

Two programmes on the list are based in the United Arab Emirates, both linked to Abu Dhabi’s startup ecosystem. The Hub71 Access Programme is meant for ambitious technology startups that want to speed up their growth, build strategic partnerships and connect with investors. The Hub71+ Life Sciences programme is aimed at startups working in life sciences and related technologies, and offers specialized support, ecosystem access and growth opportunities. Applications for both programmes are open for Cohort 21, with the deadline given as February 2027, although the exact day has yet to be confirmed. Founders will need to watch for the official date before preparing their submissions.

The Associate said that joining the right accelerator can open doors, but that founders get the most out of a programme when they are investment-ready. The firm said it supports founders through their fundraising journey by strengthening investment readiness, identifying relevant investors and preparing them for meaningful conversations with investors. The announcement did not give details on eligibility conditions, programme fees, equity terms or whether founders based outside the region, including those from Pakistan, can apply, so interested startups will need to check each programme’s official page before applying.
