IBA CEDIR Announces Global Entrepreneurship Week 2026 At IBA Karachi Under Entrepreneurs Thrive Here

Published on

The Center for Entrepreneurial Development, Innovation and Research at the Institute of Business Administration Karachi has announced that it will celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week 2026 at the institute in November. The center describes the plans as something big brewing, and says the week will bring together entrepreneurs, innovators and changemakers to inspire ideas, spark connections and celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit. The theme is Entrepreneurs Thrive Here, and the center has asked followers to stay tuned for further announcements about the programme.

Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest campaign for entrepreneurs, organised each November by the Global Entrepreneurship Network and its national hosts, which include GEN Pakistan. The 2026 edition runs from 16 to 22 November and carries the same Entrepreneurs Thrive Here message, under which more than 11,000 organisations in about 200 countries are expected to hold events, with the aim of opening the door to entrepreneurship for people who may never have thought of starting a business. Local hosts such as the center at the institute organise talks, workshops, competitions and networking events during the week for their own communities.

The institute has taken part in the week for several years, and its centre uses the occasion to bring together students, founders, industry leaders, government representatives and organisations that support startups. Earlier editions have included keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops for university faculty and a startup showcase for student ventures, and the center has said it aims to present an entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pakistan that is open to all, including smaller cities and groups that are often left out of such events.

The dates, venues and programme of the Karachi edition have not yet been announced. With the global week set for the middle of November, founders, students and organisations that wish to take part can follow the official channels of the center for the schedule and for details on how to register.
