Another cohort of the Certificate in Entrepreneurship and the Certificate in Tech Entrepreneurship is coming to an end at the Centre for Entrepreneurial Development, Innovation and Research at the Institute of Business Administration Karachi, and its participants are ready to present their final pitches. The pitching and closing ceremony takes place tomorrow, Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the IBA City Campus in Karachi. Participants will present before a panel of nine judges, and the ceremony will celebrate the completion of their entrepreneurial journey through the two programs.
The panel brings together founders and executives from several parts of the business community. Faiza Yousuf, Founder of WomenInTechPK, and Nadia Patel Gangjee, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FEMPROW, represent organizations focused on women in technology and professional growth. Fahad Raza Khan, Chief Strategy Officer at AiGenics, and Sajida Bandukwala, Head of AI and Innovation at JBS Global, also known as Jaffer Business Systems, add perspectives from the artificial intelligence and technology fields. Junaid Vohra, Founder of The Leather Dude, joins from the consumer brand side, and Sukaina Abbas, Chief Executive Officer of Enchanté, brings experience from running a business in the jewelry sector.
The remaining judges are Sundas Saifullah, Chief Operating Officer of WaveTech, Surendar Kumar, Founder of Reviewtor, and Ovais Ahmed, Co-Founder of magellan.pk, formerly Magellan Travels. The mix of technology executives, consumer brand founders and service business leaders means participants will face questions from people who have built different kinds of companies, which is valuable for founders still deciding how to position their ideas. A panel of nine also gives participants a wide range of feedback in a single sitting, covering product, market, operations and growth.
Final pitches are the natural end point for programs designed to take aspiring founders from an initial idea to a business concept they can defend. Over the course of the certificates, participants work through the fundamentals of starting and running a venture, and the pitching ceremony asks them to bring that learning together in front of experienced practitioners. For those in the tech entrepreneurship track, it also tests how clearly they can explain a technology driven proposition to a general audience. The closing ceremony that follows marks the formal completion of the programs, giving the cohort a moment of recognition after weeks of study and preparation. With the event set for tomorrow morning, the participants will have an opportunity to show how far their ideas have progressed since they began.
