Ignite Launches Prime Minister’s Cloud Program to Support Pakistani Tech Startups

Published on

Ignite – National Technology Fund, operating under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, has announced an opportunity for Pakistani tech startups to participate in the Prime Minister’s Cloud Program for Startups. This one-year national initiative aims to support startups by enabling them to adopt, optimize, and scale cloud infrastructure while managing costs effectively. By providing tiered reimbursement, expert guidance, and partnerships with leading Cloud Service Providers, the program seeks to strengthen the country’s digital startup ecosystem.

The program is designed for early-stage and scaling Pakistani tech startups that offer technology-based products or services and are either already using or planning to use cloud infrastructure. Startups that demonstrate growth potential and a clear alignment between their business needs and cloud usage are encouraged to apply. The program provides up to 60 percent reimbursement of cloud costs, depending on the startup’s stage and approved tier, along with expert advice on cloud architecture, service selection, and cost optimization. Participating startups will also benefit from exposure through various program-led activities and collaborations within the wider ecosystem.

To take part, startups must apply online through a competitive selection process by the deadline of January 27, 2026. Those selected will receive formal offers detailing their tier, cloud credit limits, and key performance indicators, including user growth and revenue milestones. Startups will utilize their chosen cloud service providers using their own funds, submit invoices for verification, and receive reimbursements based on approved percentages. Regular quarterly reporting on cloud usage and its impact is also required to ensure transparency and ongoing alignment with program goals.

This initiative is a significant step in empowering Pakistani startups to harness cloud technologies, which are essential for scaling operations, improving efficiency, and competing in both local and global markets. By reducing infrastructure costs and providing expert guidance, Ignite’s program supports the creation of a more robust, innovative startup ecosystem in Pakistan. Interested startups can apply online at Ignite’s official portal and direct any queries to PMcloud@ignite.org.pk.

With cloud computing becoming a cornerstone of modern digital businesses, this program offers an opportunity for startups to build resilient, scalable infrastructure without the typical financial burden. It aligns with broader government efforts to foster technological innovation and entrepreneurship, ensuring that startups have the tools and support needed to grow sustainably. This initiative reflects a strategic commitment to creating an enabling environment where emerging companies can thrive through access to advanced cloud solutions and ecosystem collaboration.
