Ignite Opens Applications for Pakistani Startups at LEAP 2026

Published on

Ignite, the National Technology Fund operating under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, has opened applications for selected Pakistani startups to participate in LEAP 2026, one of the region’s leading global technology conferences, taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from August 31 to September 3, 2026. The application deadline is July 11, 2026, and interested startups can submit their applications at lnkd.in/dyQ9mST8, with further information about LEAP 2026 available at onegiantleap.com. Ignite is sponsoring selected startups to participate, covering the costs that would otherwise make participation in an international event of this scale inaccessible for many early and growth-stage Pakistani ventures.

LEAP has established itself as one of the most significant global technology gatherings in the Gulf and broader Middle East region, drawing startups, investors, technology leaders, and innovators from across the world to Riyadh each year. The event’s scale and the quality of its international participation make it a particularly valuable platform for Pakistani startups seeking to establish credibility, build relationships, and explore market opportunities within Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East and North Africa region, a geography that has seen substantial growth in technology investment and adoption and that represents a meaningful commercial opportunity for Pakistani startups across a wide range of technology sectors.

Selected startups will benefit from four distinct but interconnected opportunities through their participation at LEAP 2026. The ability to showcase innovative solutions to a global audience of technology buyers, investors, and partners provides a form of international visibility that would be extremely difficult and costly to generate through independent market entry efforts, giving selected ventures a concentrated occasion to demonstrate what they have built to an audience specifically assembled around technology innovation. Connecting with global investors addresses the capital access dimension of international startup development, providing Pakistani founders with direct engagement with the investor community that is actively looking for the next generation of technology ventures within the Gulf and global marketplace.

Building strategic partnerships extends the value of LEAP participation beyond the event itself, recognising that the most durable outcomes of international conference participation are often the long-term commercial and collaborative relationships initiated during the event rather than the immediate transactions or media coverage generated. Exploring the Saudi and Middle East markets gives selected startups a structured, supported entry point into a geography where understanding local market dynamics, regulatory environments, and commercial culture is critical to success and where having an institutionally supported presence at a major national technology event provides a credibility advantage over attempting to explore the market through independent visits or digital outreach alone. For Pakistani startups that have been building with genuine international ambitions but have lacked the resources or connections to access platforms like LEAP, Ignite’s sponsorship of participation at LEAP 2026 represents a meaningful institutional investment in accelerating the internationalisation of Pakistan’s most promising technology ventures, and the July 11 application deadline gives eligible startups sufficient time to prepare a compelling submission at lnkd.in/dyQ9mST8.
