IU CORE Hosts Cohort 4 Pitch Deck Round at Iqra University on June 12

Published on

Iqra University’s IU CORE, the Centre of Research and Entrepreneurship, is hosting its Cohort 4 Pitch Deck Round on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Main Campus on the second floor. The event brings together the student entrepreneurs of Cohort 4 to present their startup ideas, business models, and visions for impact to an audience that will evaluate not just the quality of the ideas on display but the founders behind them and their capacity to articulate, defend, and develop their concepts under the scrutiny that real-world pitching involves.

The Pitch Deck Round occupies a specific and critical position within the IU CORE programme architecture, representing the moment where the work of idea development, market research, business model design, and strategic thinking that cohort participants have been doing throughout their programme journey is translated into the format that every founder eventually has to master, which is the ability to communicate a compelling vision and a credible business case to an audience that is evaluating both simultaneously. For students who are experiencing this kind of formal presentation and evaluation for the first time, the pitch round creates a formative pressure that produces learning that cannot be replicated through classroom instruction or written assignments alone.

IU CORE has built a track record of producing student ventures that progress beyond the university’s own incubation environment into national programmes and competitive platforms, with recent cohort achievements including selection for the NIC Karachi Foundry Program and the Lok Sahaita STEM Talent Search Programme reflecting the quality of the founders and ideas the centre has been developing. The Cohort 4 Pitch Deck Round represents the next chapter in that trajectory, introducing a new group of aspiring changemakers whose ideas are at the stage of being tested, refined, and presented for the first time in a structured competitive setting.

For the broader IU CORE community of alumni, mentors, and ecosystem partners, the event offers an early look at the ventures and founders who will represent the centre’s next wave of entrepreneurial output and a chance to engage with the ideas that are taking shape within Iqra University’s entrepreneurship programme at their earliest and most formative stage.
