Lab X, Autonomous Air Systems Bootcamp, hosted at NICAT Rawalpindi on the thirty first of August and the first of September, will bring together industry experts from AsRa Tech to train the next wave of aerospace innovators. The two day bootcamp gives selected participants direct access to engineers working specifically in drone design, artificial intelligence integration, and flight control systems.
The trainer lineup includes Asad Raza, Drone Design Engineer, Syed Daniyal Shah, AI Integration Engineer, and Murtaza Saleem, Flight Controls and Firmware Lead, each bringing a distinct area of technical expertise relevant to building autonomous aerial systems. This combination of specialisations gives participants exposure to the full technical pipeline involved in drone development, from the physical design and engineering of the aircraft through to the software and AI systems that enable autonomous operation.
Participants can expect two full days of hands on learning, advanced firmware insights, and AI integration in drone technology, reflecting a curriculum designed around practical, applied skill building rather than purely theoretical instruction. The inclusion of firmware specific training addresses a technical area that often requires specialised knowledge distinct from more general software development skills, given the real time and hardware dependent nature of firmware used in drone flight control systems.
Attendance at the bootcamp is limited, with organisers noting that only selected candidates will be invited to attend the event, reflecting a more exclusive, application based format compared to open registration events. This selective approach suggests the bootcamp is designed for a smaller group of participants with a genuine technical background or interest in autonomous air systems, allowing for a more focused and interactive training experience over the two days.
