LCCI and Pakistan Tech Forum Sign MoU to Boost Entrepreneurship and Tech Growth

Published on

Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Pakistan Tech Forum have signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at promoting technology driven business growth, entrepreneurship, investment, and access to international markets for Pakistani businesses. The agreement was signed by LCCI President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol and Pakistan Tech Forum Co-Founder Farhan Saleem at a ceremony held at LCCI, with Mudassir Naeem, Usman Akbar, Hamad Pervaiz, Ayesha Zaman, Imran Rashid, and Abdullah Ali also present.

Under the MoU, the two organisations will collaborate to promote business growth, foreign investment, trade development, and international market expansion opportunities for Pakistani enterprises. The partnership brings together LCCI’s established position within Pakistan’s traditional business and trade community with Pakistan Tech Forum’s focus on technology sector development, creating a bridge between conventional business networks and the country’s growing technology ecosystem.

As part of the agreement, the two organisations will jointly organise seminars, workshops, conferences, webinars, business forums, networking events, and awareness sessions covering topics including company formation, international business expansion, taxation, compliance, legal frameworks, investment opportunities, and entrepreneurship development. This structured programming is intended to give businesses practical, actionable guidance rather than purely conceptual discussion of technology driven growth.

Speaking at the signing, Saigol said Pakistan’s technology sector holds significant potential to contribute to exports, investment, employment generation, and sustainable economic growth, adding that stronger linkages between the business community and the technology ecosystem could enable Pakistani enterprises to access new markets, adopt modern technologies, and compete more effectively in the global economy. He stressed the need to create practical opportunities for startups, SMEs, and entrepreneurs by connecting them directly with investors, industry leaders, international markets, and relevant institutions, adding that LCCI would continue supporting initiatives aimed at promoting innovation and technology led economic development.

Saleem said the collaboration would provide a platform for connecting the business community with international technology opportunities, global conferences, market entry avenues, and cross border business and technology partnerships. Under the agreement, Pakistan Tech Forum will provide guidance and awareness about international technology opportunities, global market access, technology conferences, market entry opportunities, and cross border collaborations, with both organisations working to facilitate linkages among entrepreneurs, startups, SMEs, investors, industry leaders, and other relevant stakeholders to promote broader business and technology cooperation across Pakistan.
