National Incubation Center Hyderabad Hosts Software Security Session With Live CodeRadar Demonstrations For Startups

Published on

The National Incubation Center Hyderabad hosted a hands-on session on software security and its role in building investor confidence, speaking to a point that startups can no longer afford to overlook. As software security becomes an increasingly important part of investment decisions, young companies need to understand how to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks and build products that inspire confidence. Investors weighing a startup’s prospects now look closely at how safely its technology is built, and a weakness discovered after funding can damage both a product and the relationships around it.

The session featured M. Ashar Khan, Head of Security Operations Center Operations at Titanium, and Asad Hussain, Head of Partnerships and Strategic Projects at RapidCompute. Rather than staying with theory, the speakers took participants through live demonstrations of CodeRadar, a tool that identifies software vulnerabilities. Attendees watched how it detects weaknesses in code, assesses the security risks they create and provides actionable insights that developers can use to improve their products. Seeing a tool work on real examples gave founders and technical teams a clearer idea of what a security review involves and how findings are turned into practical fixes.

The practical focus matters for early stage companies that often have small teams and little time to spare. Developers working under pressure to launch tend to treat security as a task for later, yet problems built into a product at the start become harder and more expensive to correct as the company grows. By showing how vulnerabilities can be found and ranked by risk, the session helped participants understand where to direct their limited attention first. It also showed how a clear security record can become part of a startup’s case when it speaks with investors, since it demonstrates discipline and awareness of the risks the business carries.

The session reinforced an important takeaway: security is not an afterthought. It is part of building technology that customers, business collaborators and investors can trust. For startups in the incubation program, the message was that confidence in a product is built through deliberate choices made throughout development, not added at the end. The National Incubation Center Hyderabad operates with the backing of the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ignite, the National Technology Fund, PTCL, LMKT and Tech Destination Pakistan, and sessions such as this one bring industry practitioners directly to the founders it supports.
