National Incubation Center Hyderabad has welcomed students from Model School Old Campus to its incubation centre for an awareness session on entrepreneurship and its upcoming cohort. The visit was part of the incubator’s outreach initiative, and it started from the idea that entrepreneurship often begins with curiosity, asking questions, spotting problems and imagining better ways to do things. The team’s aim was to show school students that starting a business is a path they can explore.
During the session, the team introduced the students to the startup ecosystem and explained how the incubator helps aspiring founders take their ideas forward. They also described the support available to anyone who wants to turn an idea into a business, including mentorship, guidance and industry connections, and gave the students a clearer picture of where to begin. Holding the session at the incubation centre let the students see the workspace where startups build their products, which makes the idea of a startup more concrete than a classroom talk could.
The incubator says that taking these conversations beyond the startup community helps more young people discover entrepreneurship. Most outreach by incubators focuses on university students and working professionals, so a session for school students reaches founders at an earlier stage, when they are still deciding what to study and what kind of career to pursue.
National Incubation Center Hyderabad is the sixth national incubation centre set up by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and Ignite National Technology Fund. It has incubated more than 200 startups in areas such as healthcare, agriculture, education, financial technology and retail. Details of the upcoming cohort, including the opening date and application process, are available through the official channels of the incubator.
