Startup founders from the National Incubation Center Karachi took the stage as invited speakers at a workshop organized by the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology Entrepreneurial Society, sharing their journeys with aspiring entrepreneurs. The founders were Hasan Haji of FoodLoot, Anas Shaikh of Numero Ventures and Angel Imdad of Irverde-Gogreen. Their appearance drew on first hand experience of building companies from the ground up, giving students a view of entrepreneurship from people who have worked through its challenges rather than from textbooks alone.
SZABIST University hosted the workshop, titled From Idea to Income: Entrepreneurship and Low Budget Digital Marketing Workshop, on October 28, 2026, with the SZABIST Entrepreneurial Society organizing the event. The session focused on entrepreneurship, business idea development and practical digital marketing strategies designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs turn their ideas into viable business opportunities. Participants explored cost effective ways to promote their startups, reach their target audiences and build a strong foundation for business growth. The emphasis on limited budgets reflects the reality facing most student founders, who often have more ideas than money and must learn to earn attention without large advertising spending.
The invited founders covered a broad range of topics, from turning ideas into viable business opportunities to navigating challenges, building brands and using digital marketing to reach customers. Their talks brought practical knowledge and inspiration to the next generation of innovators, and the session offered insights into launching and marketing a startup with limited resources. Hearing directly from founders who have gone through the incubation process gave students a realistic picture of what early stage entrepreneurship involves, including the setbacks that rarely appear in success stories. It also encouraged participants to embrace innovation, creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset as they consider their own paths.
Participants received Certificates of Participation in recognition of their involvement in the workshop. The National Incubation Center Karachi said it was proud to see its founders representing the startup community at a university event, and the appearance reflects a wider pattern of founders returning to campuses to speak with students. Through initiatives like this one, the SZABIST Entrepreneurial Society continues to promote entrepreneurial thinking among students and to encourage them to transform their ideas into successful ventures. As more universities invite working founders into their classrooms and societies, students gain earlier access to the experience and examples that can shape how they approach starting a business.
