Digitalized Plantation, a startup in Cohort 16 of the National Incubation Center Peshawar, has won the Zindigi Prize competition. The result marks another milestone for the team on its journey from building an idea to earning national recognition. The incubation center congratulated the founders on the achievement, which comes while the startup is still working through its time in the program.
The Zindigi Prize is an initiative of Zindigi that gives student entrepreneurs across Pakistan a platform, funding and mentorship to turn ambitious ideas into high impact startups. Its campus rounds this year were held at six universities across the country, and teams that succeed at each stage move forward through a competition that has drawn young founders from many institutions. Winning such a contest places Digitalized Plantation among the ventures that have stood out in a crowded field of student led businesses.
For a company at the incubation stage, a win of this kind brings several benefits beyond the award itself. It offers public recognition that can help the team attract customers, mentors and investors, and it provides validation that its idea and presentation hold up before independent judges. It also gives the founders a boost of confidence at a stage when many startups are still testing their assumptions and refining their products, and it shows other young entrepreneurs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa what is possible with focused effort.
The National Incubation Center Peshawar operates with the backing of Ignite, the National Technology Fund, and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, with LMKT and Orbit Startups also supporting its work. As Digitalized Plantation continues through its incubation program, attention will turn to how the team builds on the win and what comes next for the venture.
