National Incubation Center Peshawar Inaugurates Commerce Entrepreneurship Incubation Center at Government College of Management Sciences

The National Incubation Center Peshawar has inaugurated the Commerce Entrepreneurship Incubation Center at the Government College of Management Sciences in Jamrud, in the Khyber district. The opening took place at the invitation of the college’s Principal, Saeed Sadar, and was graced by Munnawar Khan, Director of E-Commerce. The new center places an incubation facility inside a government college in one of the province’s border districts, bringing entrepreneurship support closer to students who live far from Peshawar’s main business areas.

The collaboration between the two institutions aims to give aspiring entrepreneurs mentorship, industry exposure, and valuable connections. For students at a management sciences college, a campus incubation center offers a place to turn classroom ideas into working businesses, with guidance from the Peshawar center’s team on how to plan, test, and launch a venture. It also gives the college a link to a wider network of mentors and industry contacts that individual institutions often struggle to build alone.

The National Incubation Center Peshawar said the effort is meant to build the startup ecosystem across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, not only in the provincial capital. Districts such as Khyber have fewer startup resources than Peshawar, and young people there often have limited access to training, networks, and funding. Setting up a center at a local college reduces the distance that students must travel to find support, and it can encourage businesses based on commerce and trade, which are strong in a district that sits on a major trade route.

The National Incubation Center Peshawar is funded by Ignite and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication and works with universities and colleges across the province through outreach programs. The announcement did not share details on how the new center will operate, which programs it will offer, or how many students it will serve. Those details are likely to emerge as the center begins its work, and its success will depend on how many students take up the offer of mentorship and how many ideas grow into real ventures.
