The startup cohort at the National Incubation Center Sialkot has wrapped up a session on storytelling led by Umer Hussain, founder of Hightribe, Highglamp, and Sweettooth. The center described the session as unforgettable and built it around a simple idea: powerful stories do not just inform, they move people. Umer Hussain drew on his own experience of starting and running companies, and his storytelling kept the entire room engaged. The session gave the cohort a look at how a founder’s personal journey can become a tool for connecting with customers, investors, and teams.
Umer Hussain shared raw and relatable insights into his path as a founder, breaking down the realities of building startups from scratch. He spoke about the difficulties that come with starting a business with limited resources and showed the founders how to shape their vision into a narrative that truly resonates with an audience. For early stage companies, this skill matters as much as the product itself, since a clear and memorable story is often what persuades a customer to try something new or an investor to take a meeting. Many technical founders struggle to explain what they do in simple terms, and a session on narrative gives them practical ways to close that gap.
The center said the energy in the room was unmatched and that the cohort left the session equipped, inspired, and burning with fresh drive and passion. The founders were encouraged to take their pitches to the next level, applying what they heard to the way they present their companies in demo days, investor meetings, and everyday conversations. A pitch built on a strong story tends to be easier to remember than one built only on numbers and features, and the lessons from founders who have gone through the process themselves can help new entrepreneurs avoid common mistakes in how they describe their businesses.
The National Incubation Center Sialkot is funded by Ignite and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, and it is operated by a consortium led by Mobilink Bank that includes CyberVision International. Sessions with experienced founders are a regular part of its program for startups, offering practical guidance alongside formal training and mentorship. By inviting an entrepreneur with several ventures behind him, the center gave its cohort access to a speaker who has seen the process from different angles and who could speak directly to the doubts and pressures that founders face. For the startups in the room, the lesson was clear: how a founder tells the story of the business can shape how far that business goes.
