National Incubation Center Sialkot is hosting a session titled Business Model Design and Roadmaps, led by Raza Khan, an expert in private sector development and public policy. The session is built around the idea of building business models that scale. Founders will walk through practical frameworks for designing sustainable growth strategies, validating their revenue models and adapting to changing market demand, in a format the incubator describes as dynamic.
Business model design is one of the areas in which early stage founders most often need outside help. Many teams start with a product and only later ask who will pay for it, how much and how often, and the answers decide whether a business can grow without running out of cash. A roadmap links those answers to a plan, setting out which steps come first, what each one costs and what the team needs to prove before moving to the next stage. Sessions of this kind give founders a common set of tools for testing their assumptions before they commit time and money.
The incubator was set up through an agreement between Ignite National Technology Fund, which operates under the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication, and a consortium led by Mobilink Bank that includes CyberVision International. Sialkot is known worldwide for sports goods, surgical instruments and leather products, and the centre is meant to give technology driven startups in the city a dedicated platform, with mentorship, investor linkages and business development services. It is expected to admit up to 25 startups each year.
