NIC Faisalabad brought together Haseeb Shaikh, Startup Investor and Advisor at Accelerate Prosperity, and Shadab Fariduddin, Financial Analyst at NIC Faisalabad, for an FI Session featuring a Mentor Idea Review focused on evaluating startup ideas and helping founders refine their ventures. The session addressed a stage that many early founders find especially difficult to navigate alone, translating a promising concept into a business model that can withstand outside scrutiny.
Strong startup ideas need the right guidance, constructive feedback and industry insights to move forward, and the session was structured around giving NICF startups direct access to exactly that combination. Pairing an outside investor’s perspective with the internal financial expertise of NIC Faisalabad’s own team gave founders feedback from two distinct vantage points, one focused on how a venture might be judged by future investors, and the other grounded in the practical financial realities of running the business day to day.
The session gave participating startups a focused opportunity to gain valuable insights, strengthen their business models and build a stronger foundation for future growth. Rather than a broad overview of startup fundamentals, the Mentor Idea Review format allowed founders to bring their specific ideas forward for direct evaluation, surfacing gaps or assumptions in their thinking that might not become apparent until much later without this kind of structured review.
NIC Faisalabad continues to receive support from the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan and Ignite National Technology Fund as it runs sessions of this kind aimed at strengthening its cohort’s readiness for the stages ahead. By combining investor level scrutiny with financial grounding early in a founder’s journey, the FI Session reflects NIC Faisalabad’s broader approach of building startups on a more solid foundation before they face the pressures of scaling.
