NIC Faisalabad Hosts Investor Pitch Practice and Review Workshop With Shakir Aslam

Published on

Getting investment-ready takes more than a pitch deck, it takes practice, clarity, and the ability to communicate a venture from an investor’s perspective, and NIC Faisalabad built its latest session around exactly that principle. The incubator hosted the Investor Pitch Practice and Review Workshop featuring Shakir Aslam, Associate at Amana Capital, giving founders an opportunity to practice their pitches, receive direct feedback, and better understand what investors are actually looking for when they sit across the table from a founder.

Aslam’s background as an Associate at Amana Capital gave the session a grounded, practitioner’s perspective on fundraising, drawing on day-to-day experience evaluating ventures from the investor’s side rather than offering only general pitching advice. For founders who have mostly rehearsed their pitch among peers or mentors, hearing direct, candid feedback from someone who actively reviews investment opportunities for a living can surface blind spots that friendlier audiences are less likely to point out.

The session focused on building more effective investment narratives, refining pitch delivery, addressing potential gaps in each founder’s story, and helping founders build greater confidence ahead of future investor conversations. By treating the workshop as a space for practice and direct review rather than passive instruction, NIC Faisalabad gave founders the chance to test their pitch under real scrutiny and walk away with a clearer sense of which parts of their story needed more work before facing investors directly.

The workshop adds to NIC Faisalabad’s growing series of fundraising-focused programming, following closely on the incubator’s recent engagement with M&Co on capital raising and marketing support. NIC Faisalabad continues to receive backing from the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Pakistan and Ignite National Technology Fund as it works to prepare its founders for the realities of pitching to investors.
